Volunteer Programs, Office of
A major component of the mission of the University is to assist in developing a responsible citizenry by enhancing out-of-classroom, developmental experiences for university students. Major efforts are made through the Office of Volunteer Programs (OVP) which helps develop linkages between the local community and students. In addition, OVP coordinates such events as Hunger and Homeless Awareness Week, Volunteer Illini Projects, and Group Projects Clearinghouse.
