Center on Democracy in a Multiracial Society

The Center on Democracy in a Multiracial Society brings together researchers who are looking at how racial issues are dealt with in the context of sports, the growth of prisons in the state and the impact of an increasing number of immigrants on public schools. This program not only coordinates research across campus by touching on the areas of race and democracy, but also influences how subjects are taught and oversee outreach projects to help solve problems in the community and the state. Speakers and conferences are some of the activities hosted by CDMS, see website for more details.
