Consortium of Big 10 University Research and Training Reactors
The Department of Energy selected the Department of Nuclear, Plasma, and Radiological Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for its Consortium on Innovations in Nuclear Infrastructure and Education (INIF). The consortium is aimed at enhanced reactor use and design of new reactors. Other participating universities include Penn State (lead university), Wisconsin, and Purdue.
