Emergency Response Training for Aircraft Accidents
This new, conceptual computer simulation program is used in training fire fighters and emergency medical personnel who respond to aircraft accidents. Through desktop, multimedia, and intelligent tutor computer applications, the emergency response personnel can select and respond to an accident scenario. They are able to work through a series of decision-tree models typical of the aircraft category, structural design, accident location, impact condition and position, casualty levels, and potential fire hazards from fuels, lubricants, and compressed gases. Computer displays include graphics, color photo images, and short, full-motion video coupled with artificial intelligence tutoring capabilities.
