National Laboratory for Tourism and eCommerce
The Tourism Research Laboratory was established to respond to the growing and changing needs of tourism organizations and professionals. Since its inception in 1993, it has been dedicated to conducting quality inter-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary research focusing on issues relevant to tourism and tourism development. Diverse in scope, affiliates have conducted research in subject areas including the social, psychological, and leisure aspects of tourism; travel decision-making process; advertising and marketing of tourism resources; tourism information systems development; community development; and the social and environmental impacts of tourism.
