Public Service Activities
Tax School
Each year in the fall numerous Tax Schools are held throughout Illinois. Instructors from the University of Illinois and the Internal Revenue Service update participants on tax law changes and review areas of federal tax law that can be troublesome for practitioners. The fall school is approved for 16 hours of CPE credit for public accountants, enrolled agents, and other professionals. The schools are designed for experienced income tax practitioners who assist taxpayers in preparing and filing tax returns. In addition to the fall Tax Schools, special summer seminars are offered on topics such as Agricultural Taxation and other topics appropriate for more in depth coverage.
