Quality Milk Issues: A Resource for the Illinois Dairy Industry

This biannual newsletter is devoted to milk quality issues, particularly enhancing the production of quality milk. The current circulation encompasses dairy producers, dairy processors, milk sanitarians, milk haulers, veterinarians, and others involved with the dairy business. Topics include reasonable and responsible antibiotic use, residue avoidance, reducing bacterial counts, and lowering somatic cell counts. Appropriate notices from the Food and Drug Administration and Centers for Veterinary Medicine are condensed and incorporated.
