Illinois Researcher Information Service (IRIS)

The Illinois Researcher Information Service (IRIS) is a unit of the University of Illinois Library at Urbana-Champaign. IRIS offers three Web-based funding and research services: the IRIS database of more than 8,000 federal and private funding opportunities in all disciplines; the IRIS Alert Service (an automated funding-alert service); and the IRIS Expertise Service (an online database of faculty research interests and accomplishments). IRIS is a subscription service and is available to colleges, universities, and research organizations for an annual fee. Citizens of the state of Illinois, however, can search the IRIS Expertise Service database for information about the research activities and accomplishments of University of Illinois faculty members at no charge.
