Summer Research Laboratory on Russia, Eastern Europe, and Eurasia

Established in 1973, this annual summer program provides an opportunity for post-secondary teachers, graduate students and other professionals in the field to utilize the resources of the University of Illinois Library, which holds the largest Slavic collection west of Washington, DC, and seek advice from the reference librarians of the Slavic and East European Library. The laboratory also hosts workshops, discussion groups, lectures and films, which provide forums for the participants to meet colleagues in the field and exchange ideas. The lab events are free and open to the general public.

This program serves approximately 200 people annually.
