French Workshops for Illinois French Teachers

The Department of French offers workshops and training sessions for Illinois French teachers. In addition to the workshops, we are offering a professional development sequence in translation. These courses, offered completely online, can count for continuing education credit for high school teachers. Courses offered are:

French 319 and 321 (Techniques in Translation I and II),

French 385 and 386 (Commercial and Economic French I and II) and French 491

(Scientific Translation

Lexicology). Students who complete five of these courses can receive a "Certificate of Completion." In addition, an online course on Internet resources for language teaching during the spring semester will be offered through the Office of Academic Outreach.
