Public Service Activities


Animal Sciences at the Orr Research Center

At this center research is being conducted on grazing systems for beef cows; limit-feeding of beef cows to reduce feed costs during the winter; embryo transfer for beef cows, and various grasses and legumes in beef-production systems. A field day is held annually to discuss the ongoing research with beef producers. A winter beef seminar is also held for beef producers in the area.
