Virtual Museums
In 1993, Krannert Art Museum became the first American art museum to open a Web site. The site frequently changes and is updated with new ideas. It currently offers a guide to the permanent collection, information on projects and up-coming exhibitions, a calendar, a section that features educational exhibits created exclusively for the Web site, and information on the museum's Education Resource Center.
