Krannert Art Museum Community Collaborations

Collaborations with community groups lead to special educational exhibitions and unique events. For example, a display of African American quilts by elderly women in Champaign-Urbana involved active collaboration with the Champaign Park District, the African American History Committee, a local high school social studies program, and WEFT radio. Art-To-Go, a mobil outreach program, serves children and senior citizens throughout east-central Illinois. The museum has joined seven other area museums to form a consortium called Museums at the Crossroads.
