Public Service Activities
Illinois Corn and Soybean Classics
The latest crop production research is transmitted to growers, landowners, their suppliers and advisors through a series of six meetings held each year. Campus-based extension faculty summarize and interpret the research data into a written and oral presentation provided to over 1000 people each year. Attendees have ample opportunity to raise questions or comment about situations they have observed in their fields. If there is an inadequate database available to respond to the questions, the concerns are transmitted to the research faculty for use in formulating new research projects.
