Public Service Activities
Community Noncredit Courses and Lecture/Discussion Series
The Office of Continuing Education extends the resources of the university to the public through a variety of noncredit lecture/discussion series and courses. The courses, open to adults regardless of their educational backgrounds, are designed to be timely, interesting, and challenging learning experiences of university level and quality. These programs are intended for personal enrichment or professional development. No exams, grades, or credit are given; however, Illinois teachers are eligible to receive Continuing Professional Development Units (CPDU's) for attendance, provided their approved individual professional development plans include this type of activity.
