School Executive Leadership Program

SELP, a cohort outreach program that began in 1986, is an innovative approach to the development of school administrators. It combines requirements for the Ed.D. degree with state certification for the Superintendent Endorsement. SELP is geared toward translating theoretical knowledge into the improvement of educational practice using the participant's home school districts as laboratories for research and program development. The program allows full time practioners the opportunity to complete course work for the Ed.D degree and satisfy residency requirements by completing three years of course work through intensive weekends and one month of summer school.
