Illinois Fertilizer and Seed Dealer Clinics
A series of fertilizer- and seed-dealer clinics are held at seven locations across Illinois each fall. The meetings are designed to transmit the latest research information, plus review the problems that existed in each region of the state during the previous growing season. These meetings, which ensure that the advisors are aware of the latest research results, are attended by five- to six-hundred people each year, representing about 60 percent of the dealerships, each of who advises 80 to 100 producers. The information exchanges also provide Crop Sciences research faculty input on problems and opportunities, which can guide further research formulations.
