Legal Issues in the News

Legal Issues in the News is a weekly radio commentary researched, written, and recorded by Amy Gajda, a College of Law faculty member. The program airs on public radio stations throughout Illinois, from the Chicago area to Carbondale, and is available worldwide on the Internet. Each four-minute essay focuses on a topic in the news and analyzes the news story's legal implications in a way that is understandable to a lay audience. For more than a decade, College of Law faculty members have presented the radio commentaries, which have received an award from the American Bar Association and won back-to-back first-place Associated Press awards. The commentaries are recorded and produced at WILL-AM studios in Urbana.
