Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant College Program

This program, a joint effort between the University of Illinois and Purdue University, addresses problems related to water quality, aquaculture, coastal business, and the environment by coordinating efforts among agencies and organizations that deal with Lake Michigan issues and resources. Program staff conducts research, outreach, and education activities that foster good stewardship of Lake Michigan, the other Great Lakes, and associated inland waterways. As a member of the Great Lakes Sea Grant Network, the program serves the public through publications, workshops, multimedia, and on the net. Related Web sites include the homepage for the program, the Aquaculture Network Information Center, and the Sea Grant Nonindigenous Species Web site.
