Hazardous Waste Worker Training Programs

Under grants from the National Institute of Environmental Health and Safety and the National Institute for Occupational Health, the Institute of Labor and Industrial Relations offers a series of programs to meet the training requirements of OSHA's Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Standards. The ILIR is part of a 10-state consortium to provide these programs for workers, managers, and government agency personnel whose jobs include hazardous materials handling or cleanup. Programs are offered as open enrollment for individuals, or on a contract basis to employers.
