Illinois Regional Archives Depository

The depository is sponsored by the Illinois State Archives. Seven depositories are located at state universities in Illinois, including UIS, which houses records from 14 Central Illinois counties. The depositories preserve official records of local governmental agencies that have permanent legal, administrative, or historical value. The records are maintained for use by governmental authorities, scholars, and the general public.
