Center for Urban Educational Research and Development
This center is dedicated to the improvement of educational opportunities for children and youth, focusing on the problems in elementary and secondary schools in the Chicago metropolitan area. The center works toward a better understanding of these problems and their potential solutions by conducting research on critical urban educational issues. The results are used to support professional growth programs for educators in urban environments and to help implement successful educational interventions and programs designed to enhance minority preparation for and representation in higher education.
