Public Service Activities
Kinesiology Urban Youth Leader Project
This UIC effort provides alternative programs that use physical activity to teach personal and social responsibility to underserved city children ages 6-9. There are before-school, during-school, and after-school programs that provide interventions for dealing with aggression, violence, and other types of antisocial behavior. Alternative programs give the children safe places to go while teaching them empowerment skills.
