Sports Medicine Services
This program provides a broad array of multidisciplinary, sports-related medical services to Chicago residents. Educational services including newsletters and conferences are offered to athletes, coaches, high school administrators, and sports medicine professionals, in addition, a state of the art Sports Medicine Center has recently been opened in the Flames Athletic Center. Treatment services are provided in the specialties of rehabilitation medicine, therapies, exercise science, performance lab testing, orthopedics, podiatry, sports psychology, sports nutrition, sports dentistry, and primary care. Preventive services are offered with technique evaluation, exercise prescriptions, and preseason physical examinations. Performance optimization is provided to elite athletes by exercise physiologists and members of the UIC Human Performance Laboratory. Preseason physicals, event and high school coverage, and an urgent drop-in clinic is available for local high school athletes and weekend warriors. The Center is located on Roosevelt Road just west of Interstate 90-94.
