Summer Residential Enrichment Program
The Summer Residential Enrichment Program (SREP) in Public Health is designed to strengthen personal and academic skills that are essential for those competing for admission to graduate/professional programs in Public Health and other health professions. Program Structure: THE SREP IS AN 8-WEEK PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES PARTICIPANTS WITH THE FOLLOWING: Ø Orientation to Academic Divisions, Research Projects, and Service Centers of UIC-SPH. Ø Personal interaction with faculty and staff in the UIC-Urban Health Program (UHP), Academic Center of Excellence, and UIC-SPH Departments. Ø Personal and academic assessment. Ø Sponsored preceptorship within various health and medical institutions. Ø Tailored instruction to enhance quantitative, verbal/comprehension and analytical abilities for the Graduate Records Examination (GRE). Ø Instruction in SAS and SPSS statistical programs. Ø Subsided membership to national health organizations. Ø Research symposium for student and faculty presentation. Ø Student Award Ceremony.
